Hey Pommie and Hallie, I just wanted to say a massive thank you for all your hard work with the girls and particularly the time you’ve put in with Charlotte. Her confidence levels have skyrocketed since training with you both at Point 1 and UTS. She’s still a little unsure at UTS as she’s growing so quick and sometimes takes a little time to work out her movement but she’s getting more confident each week. She is absolutely loving her football which is the main thing but the environment you have both created is next level. I’ve been around heaps of football. Played manly all juniors before playing in Japan and in the old National league then coming back to Manly for years. Also played indoor for Australian u17 and was lucky enough to tour with them. I’ve been coaching at manly and in the local PL for years as well. Not saying this for any other reason except to show that I’ve seen and been part of a lot of football but what you’ve created at Point 1 is something special. How you push the teams to buy into your philosophy is so hard to do at that age. The girls all care about the team, the girls next to them and about being good humans through their football and that leads them to being successful. So many other academies and clubs are about winning and pushing players to individual success yet what you created is a bunch of footballers that win as a team. They fight for each other and play quality football because they are happy, feel supported and have been given the confidence and skills through Point 1 to back themselves and their teammates All the team had dinner last night together and there was so much laughter and joy amongst the players and parents purely because of the mate-ship you’ve created. Continue to be the awesome role models that you are because the girls absolutely love you and look up to you not only as coaches and footballers but also as strong women.
