our mission
Point 1 Football was founded by Caitlin Jarvie in 2015.
Point 1 Football was created so that the experience and knowledge of professional footballers can be passed on to the next generation. Success is not something that happens over night but is worked for. It is important for young athletes to learn from an early age what is expected of them on and off the field while chasing the dreams of an elite athlete
Point 1 Football originally started in Wollongong in 2015 within indoor centres using futsal as a way to help develop more technical skills for outdoor football. In 2016 Point 1 Football was also running out of Sutherland. In 2021, Point 1 Football started afresh on the Northern Beaches, aiming to bring both futsal and outdoor training to help players become more confident and skillful.

Hi Caitlin My name is Katie Dresner. I am the Educational Leader at Belrose CC and wanted to reach out with some feedback from the coaching session you did with us back in September. Firstly, thank you for your flexibility in rescheduling so many times due to various circumstances. We appreciate your patience and professionalism. From start to finish you were so professional and a true inspiration for all. The children were all really engaged in the session and enjoyed your fun, yet educational approach to teaching new skills. You were so great with grouping the children and explaining all aspects of the activities. The staff also commented on how much they learnt and can now use these skills when teaching soccer fundamentals themselves. We also had some feedback from the parents. They mentioned how excited their child was to have participated and that they now have joined a soccer team themselves .Many parents also commented on the initiative of the coaching session taking place just after the women’s world cup and shared their enjoyment was even more heightened around this time. We really love that you could come and show the children how a female can be such an important role model in what is predominately known as a male sport. We have a strong anti-bias program and an important message for the children is highlighting that no matter your gender you can do what you love. It was great to see how all the children looked at you with such awe and we hope that they will see that sport is for everyone. Physical and mental health and wellbeing is also embedded into our philosophy, so your visit was just perfect to continue to promote this. Thank you again for such a wonderful incursion for the children. You are welcome back anytime and we apprciate what you do for the soccer community.
